Grades 7-12 Student of the Week
Mrs. Kidd is happy to announce Ethan Stilson as this week's Student of the Week. Ethan, a member of the Junior class, is the son of Jodi Stilson and David Stilson.
Ethan is always ready with a smile and a friendly greeting. He is a hardworking
student who works diligently to complete his work on time and correctly. He asks questions, explains his ideas, and contributes to the classroom environment in a positive way. He is kind, has a great sense of humor, and volunteers to contribute to meaningful classroom work.
Outside of the classroom, Ethan participates in NHS's Big Brothers and Big Sisters program, and he plays varsity football. He also participated in this fall's CTE Tech program, which was in partnership with Alpena Schools.
Ethan's great attitude and contributions to the school and greater community are truly appreciated. You've earned this, Ethan!
Mrs. Vincent's first grade visited Santa this week.
The microwaves in the cafeteria are small and can only hold a snack size bag of microwave popcorn. The larger bags are too big, do not spin, and are burning, smoking, and have the potential to catch on fire. If students are bringing in microwave popcorn, it needs to be a snack size bag, please.
Thank you!

Mrs. Burbach has chosen Henry Weaver as the Newberry K-6 student of the week. He is in Mrs. Burbach's Developmental Kindergarten class. He is the son of Pam Bowler and grandson of Michelle and Carl. Henry always comes to school prepared and ready to learn. He strives to do his best. He is a great helper in the classroom and always willing to help his peers. Henry is five years old and his favorite part of school is recess, snack time, Legos and Number Corner. His favorite foods are hotdogs, pizza and noodles. He enjoys playing outside with his friends. I have seen huge changes in Henry since the beginning of the year and I couldn’t be more proud of him. Congratulations Henry!
