Senior Spotlight - Mackenzie Dunbar
After she graduates, Mackenzie plans to study at Grand Valley University to become a pediatric physical therapist. Her favorite high school memory is catching the final pass of the 2021 PowderPuff football game. She's proud that she was able to "skip" her sophomore year with hard work and dedication, and her advice to incoming freshmen is do your work now when you get it so you can relax later.
After school clubs are wrapping up. Monday, May 2, May 9 Creative Expressions Art.
Tuesday, May 3 will be the final Reading Buddies Club.

Senior Spotlight - Keith Crewse
After graduation, Keith plans to spend a year travelling. He is going to miss sports the most from high school, and Naruto is his favorite TV show. Keith's proudest high school accomplishment is passing all his classes, including his favorite: strength training.
Senior Spotlight - A'lvaro Colilla
A'lvaro is planning to study biology in college and get a job in marine science after he graduates. His favorite high school memory is playing hockey after defeating the Soo in basketball in homecoming. He's proud to be part of the team that earned a place in the football district finals. A'lvaro is going to miss the spirit of high school that's related to sports, and encourages incoming freshmen to enjoy, be good students, and play all the sports that they can.
Senior Spotlight - Devan Cameron
Devan is planning to work for the railroad after graduation. He's proud he was part of the drum line that won drum battles at NMU all four years of his high school career, and his favorite high school memory is having his dad come play in the pep band with Devan and Mr. Sulecki. Devan is going to miss Mrs. Price and the rest of his teachers, and his advice to incoming freshman is to do your work so you can pass your classes. Devan's favorite quote is: "It's not about how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." -Rocky Balboa
Senior Spotlight - Brittney Kimbler
Brittney's after graduation plans are to attend Lake Superior State University for a degree in accounting. She's going to miss all her friends, as greeting them while walking through the halls is her favorite high school memory. April's favorite class was Geometry in Construction with Mr. Parr, and her advice to incoming freshmen is: "Do the work now or you'll regret it. Trust me, I learned the hard way."
Senior Spotlight - Caitlynn Canfield
After she graduates, Caitlynn is planning to work while attending college online. She is going to miss the unpredictability of her classmates and memories of pursuing a classmate down the hall while hiding in a trash can. Caitlynn's favorite class was world history with Mr. Griffis, and she advises freshmen to avoid procrastination - the sooner the work is done, the sooner the fun begins. Her favorite quote is: "Talk low, talk slow, and don't say too much." -John Wayne
Senior Spotlight - Joseph Harris
Joseph is proud that he's graduating, and his future plans involve getting a job operating equipment. He's going to miss seeing all his friends and teachers from high school, as well as everyone's nicknames. Joseph's favorite class was construction tech, and he couldn't live without his pickup truck. His favorite quote is from John Wayne: "Life is hard, but it's harder when you're stupid."

Luce County 4-H Baseball/Softball/T-Ball
There are a couple important steps you have to take to complete registration:
1. All youth must be enrolled in 4-H Online: https://v2.4honline.com/#/user/sign-in
2. You must fill out a youth team info sheet at the MSU Extension office (shirt size, siblings on same team, etc.)
3. All registration fees must be paid to the Luce Co MSU Extension office by 5/2/22

K-6 Parents.... Two sessions of Summer School will be offered again this summer with a focus on essential Reading and Math Skills. Session I - June 13-30 Session II - July 11-28 Each session will be held Monday-Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be offered to all summer school students. Transportation will also be provided to students who live outside the Village limits. If Summer School is recommended for your child(ren), you will be receiving a letter in the mail in the very near future.
6th grade students used their knowledge of magnetic and electric forces to design devices called electromagnets using batteries, battery holders, wires, and iron nails.
Scheduling for next year will start to take place this week. There are parent/ student meetings held in the auditorium for anyone that has questions regarding the upcoming years schedule.

Senior Spotlight - Evelyn Derusha
After high school, Evelyn is planning to attend college for nursing, and her favorite class in high school would either be CTE Health or Education Training. Her favorite high school memory is Homecoming 2021, and she's proud that she passed Mr. Griffis' class. Evelyn's going to miss snow days, and her advice to incoming freshmen is "Just try your best. If that doesn't work, I don't know. Good luck!"
Senior Spotlight - Ethan Fair
After he graduates, Ethan plans to find a job where he can spend lots of time outdoors. He's going to miss his friends and teachers, and his favorite class was Life Skills. Ethan enjoys watching shows about trains and documentaries, and he's proud that he was helpful to all that needed it during his high school career. He encourages incoming freshmen to be nice to all.
Senior Spotlight - Wesley Burkhardt
After graduation, Wesley is planning to go to the Midwest Truck Driving School in Escanaba. He's proud of all the memories he's made during high school, and he's going to miss all of his wonderful friends. Wesley's favorite high school memory is winning the homecoming game this year. He couldn't live without a hat, and his advice to incoming freshman is "Stop caring about what other people think."
