Happy August! In just a few short weeks it will be time to return to school and I am beyond excited to learn and grow with all of you this year. Here are a few important updates for the start of the school year. August 18: Homeroom Teacher assignments will be available to you through Parent Portal. If you cannot remember your log in or password you will be able to come in and get it on Registration Day! New start to school: The change in time is due to the sharing of Career and Technology Education programming with Engadine. Students will be coming to TAS for programming as will TAS students will be going to Engadine for their programming. The district planned for parents that need to drop off their children prior to the official 8:15 a.m. start time. As the district has done pre-COVID, breakfast will be offered in the cafeteria and students will be allowed to enter the school at 7:50 a.m. The district understands that this is a change and as stated above is planning on opening the building prior to 8:00 a.m. More specifc informaiton will be coming out shortly. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Families with incoming Kindergarteners: The hearing and vision technician from the health department will be at TAS's registration day on August 19, 2021 from 1-6pm. We are asking that all families who are able to please bring your child during this time to be screened. Hearing and vision screenings are required by the State of Michigan for all incoming kindergarten students. Families that did not submit all required documentation at Kindergarten Round-Up are encouraged to bring it on registration day as well. First session of summer school is coming to an end. Students K-8 have been coming four days a week for the last three weeks. The smiles and laughter all while learning are great.

Today at 11:40 a.m. we end the chapter on the 2020-2021 school year. It has been challenging year for all, but WE MADE IT!!!!!! Thank you to ALL TAS employees who made this year work as best it could. Thank you to parents who have been patient through it all. WE MADE IT!!!!! Enjoy the summer break and have fun. We look forward to seeing you again in September.

7th graders participated in Medieval Games today. This ends a unit where Mrs. Bedford's 7th grade social studies classes and Mrs. George's math classes have worked together on a Medieval unit.
