Project Healthy Schools "Rainbow of Color" salad lesson! Kiddos chopped, diced, shred, and mixed a salad full of nutrients and antioxidants! 🥗
Project Healthy Schools "Sugar Shock" lesson. Did you know that that 3 Oreos has 3.5 teaspoons of sugar or that a bottle of Gatorade has 8.5 teaspoons of sugar in it?!? We do! We looked at bowls of sugar to represent these items and we were SHOCKED!
Senior Spotlight: Marco Juarez
Marco is planning to attend LCC for their lineman program after graduation. His proudest high school accomplishment is rushing 1,200 yards in football and he's going to miss playing sports. Marco's favorite high school class was CTE Health Science with Mrs. Fillmore and he couldn't live without music. His favorite quote is from Nagato Uzumaki: "Those who do not understand true pain can never understand true peace."

Senior Spotlight: Bethany Gage
Bethany is planning to a medical career in nursing after she graduates. She's very proud of catching up with all her classes, and would advise incoming freshmen to not fall behind. Bethany is going to miss her friends and band, her favorite class in high school. Her favorite quote is from Dolly Parton: "The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain."

Senior Spotlight: Kaydence Reed
Attending Bay college to study animal science before becoming an animal control officer is what Kaydence is planning to do after she graduates. Her favorite memory from high school is the band trip to Ohio, and she's proud that she was able to play in the band at graduation. Kaydence's favorite class was consumers education and her advice to incoming freshmen is to not skip everyday.

This week Mrs. Frank is nominating Layla Yeadon for the Newberry Elementary student of the week. Layla is in Mrs. Frank’s and Mrs. Price’s 5th grade class. She is a kind and caring student. Layla always works hard during school and participates in class activities. She always has a wonderfully positive attitude and tries her best. Layla has been a pleasure to have in class!
Senior Spotlight: Chazze Bultema
After graduating, Chazze is planning to go to trade school and get his heavy equipment license. His favorite high school memory is playing football his senior year, and he's going to miss all the memories he made in high school. His favorite class was Mr. Parr's shop class, and he's proud he has enough credits to be a senior. Chazze's favorite saying is: "Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts."
